About the Temple

Normally we dont upload new temples in our website, but this temple built in the year 2009 is a perfect fusion of modern technology and classical form of Kalinga School of Architecture. The result is a magnificent Jagannath Temple which leaves us wonder struck. Its a beautiful amalgamation of two of Odisha’s most famous temples- Lord Jagannath temple at Puri & Sun Temple at Konark.

The temple is the vision of childhood friends and the founder of Emami group of companies Mr. R.S. Agarwal and Mr. R.S. Goenka which was given shape by renowned architect and sculptor Mr. Raghunath Mohapatra, who was awarded the Padma Vibhushan for his distinguished body of work.

The temple is built in the shape of a chariot with four other temples in the vicinity of the Jagannath temple, giving  a spectacular aerial view. The other temples are the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Bimala Temple, The Gaja Laxmi Temple and the Hanuman Temple.
